Founder
Jim Yakish
Jim was an active member of the Solon community. He worked for the Johnson County Health Department as well as serving as a Reserve Deputy for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department. Jim worked for the county for many years, until 1977, when he founded Jim’s Septic Service where he worked along side his two sons for many years until his retirement.
Owner/Operator
Steve Yakish
Steve is a Solon native and 20 year retired US Army veteran. He has been servicing eastern Iowa’s septic systems for more than 35 years. In 1999 Steve, along with his brother Phil, took over Jim’s Septic Service Inc. He now owns and operates along side his son, Tyler. Steve has an unwavering commitment to providing excellent service for all his customers.
Operations Assistant Manager
Tyler Yakish
Tyler grew up in Solon, he is the son of Steve Yakish. Tyler has worked for Jim’s Septic Service Inc. for 12 years, he aspires to continue the family business on his own one day. Tyler is dedicated to providing excellent customer care.
Office Manager
Grace Yakish
Grace retired from Pearsons after 30 years as a Sr. Project Manager. She has been employed at Jim’s Septic Service for 12 years as an office manager.
